Cerundolo makes history With Queen’s Club Title
Francisco Cerundolo is now the first Argentine player to win the Queen’s Club title after coming from a set down to defeat Tommy Paul 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
This victory marks Cerundolo’s fifth ATP title and second trophy of the 2026 season.
The Argentine looked in trouble early in the match, trailing by a set and a break against Paul, who entered the final on a nine-match winning streak at Queen’s Club. However, Cerundolo battled back to take control and secure the biggest grass-court title of his career.
It was also his fourth consecutive victory over Paul and his second career title on grass, having last won on the surface in 2023.
The title meant even more to Cerundolo because his father was watching him compete outside Argentina for the first time.
“It’s the first time my dad takes a flight and the first time he can watch me outside of Argentina,” Cerundolo said during the trophy presentation.
