CHAN Eagles defender, Stephen Eze joins Kano Pillars

Kano Pillars have completed the signing of Stephen Eze from FC Ifeanyi Ubah for an undisclosed fee.

The Super Eagles defender completed his transfer from Nnewi to Kano on Wednesday, ahead of the new NPFL season.

Kano Pillars media officer, Idris Malikawa confirmed the former Sunshine Stars defender’s transfer to the four-time NPFL champions.

Eze will link up with his new team-mates in Kano this week and he is expected to be the long time replacement for Kano Pillars defender Jamiu Alimi who might move to the MLS in December.

Eze becomes the fourth Pillars signing in the ongoing NPFL transfer window. Manu Garba has joined from Wikki Tourists, while Rivers United right-back Ifeanyi Nweke and Adamu Hassan were also snapped up from Nasarawa United.

He was part of the CHAN Eagles team that finished as runners up at the 2017 WAFU tournament in Ghana.
