Chelsea receive huge boost in bid to sign Kai Havertz

Chelsea have received a huge boost in their bid to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

The London club who have been repeatedly linked with the 21-year-old attacker could get their man this summer after the German club’s admission.

Beayer Leverkusen were quoted by the Express on Sunday that the German club have an “agreement” in place with the 21-year-old to sanction a transfer should they receive a suitable offer.

“We have our ideas, we know what he can do,” the club’s managing director Rudi Voller admitted.

“I personally hope that he stays one more year.

“We have an agreement: if it fits, he can go this summer.”

All that is left should be for Chelsea to send in their bid as the club also confirmed that they are yet to receive any offer for their most prize asset.

To fund the move Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell six players namely Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy Danny Drinkwater and Emerson Palmieri.

Kai Havertz has also been linked with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Havertz chipped in with 12 goals and six assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances this term.
