Chidera Ejuke joins Belgian champions Royal Antwerp
Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke has joined Belgian Pro League champions Royal Antwerp on a season-long loan from CSKA Moscow.
Tricky winger Ejuke joined Russian giants CSKA Moscow from Heerenveen and impressed in his time at the club, becoming a Super Eagles regular and even making it to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in early 2022. The 25-year-old spent a season on loan in Germany with Hertha Berlin but was out injured for the most of the campaign, and could not help the side avoid relegation.
Ejuke has now signed another loan deal with Belgian champions Antwerp and is set to spend the next 12 months of his career in Belgium, where he will play alongside another Nigerian, Alhassan Yusuf, who helped them win the league last season.
The winger will represent his new club when they begin their UEFA Champions League journey in the group stage playoffs.
