Chievo 2 Bologna 2: Joel Obi on target for winless yellow and blues

Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi was on target at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegod as Chievo Verona played a 2-2 draw against Bologna in a Serie A game on Sunday.

The former Inter Milan midfielder would have scored the goal that could have broken Chievo Verona’s winless run but for Riccardo Orsolini’s header.

The visitors took the lead as early as the 3rd minites of the game when Federico Santander scored from Daniele Orsato’s corner.

The home team equalized 17 minutes after Bologna took the lead. Riccardo Meggiorini’s fine strike was good enough.

Then Joel Obi who hasn’t scored a Serie A goal in eight month came through with a fine goal for Chievo Verona’s second goal in the 45th minutes.

The last time Joel Obi found the back of the net in Serie A was in March in Torino’s 4-0 victory against Cagliari.

Then the shocker came in the 56th minutes when Ladislav Krejci scored a glancing header to condemn Chievo Verona to the bottom of the log and winless in 12 Serie A games.
