Nigeria men’s basketball, D’Tigers forward, Chimezie Metu, and coach Mike Brown were involved in NBA’s second-highest scoring game on Friday as the Kings beat the Clippers 176-175.

Just a few hours after the Nigerian basketball team ended Ivory Coast’s unbeaten run at the FIBA World Cup qualifiers with a 72-63 in Angola.

Far away in America the coach, Mike Brown, and forward, Chimezie Metu were involved in a historic game.

The Sacramento Kings secured a double-overtime win against Conference rivals Los Angeles Clippers at the crypto arena court to go 3rd in the west with a 34-25 record.

Chimezie Metu dropped 8 points (including 4-of-4 from the free throw line), 9 rebounds, and +12 efficiency in 21 minutes of action.

The Kings’ 176-175 win against the Clippers is 176-175 is the second-highest score in the NBA’s 76-year history. Pistons beat Denver 186-184 in triple overtime on Dec. 13, 1983, in what remains the highest-scoring NBA game.

The Kings are third on the scoring list with 176 points and the Clippers are fourth with 175. A team has scored 170 points in a regular-season game only seven times.
