Chris Paul has praised Steph Curry following Suns 118-96 loss to the Warriors.
The ‘point god’ during his post-macth duties revealed his friendship with Chef Curry.
Chris Paul who saw his side’s 18-game winning run ended at the Chase Center was on full of praise for Steph Curry.
The former Clippers point guard also mentioned that Steph Curry’s game is more than his shooting.
“Steph went on family vacation with my family to Orlando or Florida so we can work out together,” said Paul when asked at what point he knew Steph would be special.
“I think when he first came in he didn’t play too much game.
“It is not just about the shooting, it is the handle.
“There are a lot of people that can shoot but not alot of people can handle the ball and shoot like him and get his team mates involve.
“And he kepts getting better and better so,I am not shocked.”
When asked by another journalist if Curry has impacted the way the game is being played now with the three points.
Paul asked the journalist if the question was was a rhetorical quesion but answered ‘he’ll yeah’.
Then said: “For someone like me who is involved in grassroots basketball, I remember Trae Young shooting from half court at AAU all that is Steph influence.
“When I joined the league it was very little threes with many mid-range shots and lay-ups.”
The Suns will regroup again and try to continue their good form when they face the Spurs.
