Confirmed: Felix Anyansi sacked as Enyimba FC boss
Long-standing Enyimba International FC Chairman Chief Felix Anyansi has been sacked from his post at the Nigerian League champions.
SportsRation confirmed this update from inside sources at the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League winners.
This follows a political swing in the South East State following the emergence of Dr Alex Otti of Labour Party to dethrone the People’s Democratic Party under whose reign Anyansi served as Enyimba FC chairman.
Anyansi has since 1999 held sway as Chairman of Enyimba FC, achieving great success in national and international engagements.
A purely politically motivated decision, considering the People’s Elephants finished the 2022/2023 season as League Champions.
As replacement, a former footballer has been placed in charge , his identity will be revealed when he leads the clubs charge for success at the Naija Super 8 finals in Lagos.
