Coutinho in Villa shirt best his Liverpool record against Man Utd in 14 minutes

Glad to be back in the Premier League

New signing Philippe Coutinho has outdone his output while playing for Liverpool against Manchester United in 14 minutes of action for Aston Villa.

The Brazilian who linked up with former Liverpool teammates Steven Gerrard now coach of Aston Villa re-introduced himself with a scintillating display on Saturday.

Philippe Coutinho and Jacob Ramsey helped Aston Villa come from two-goal down to secure a 2-2 draw at Villa Park.

With Cristiano Ronaldo absent through injury Bruno Fernandes produced his pre-Ronaldo performance scoring Manchester United goals.

The Portuguese scored the first goal in the 6th minutes and completes his brace in the 67th minutes. But Philippe Coutinho introduction spoilt the Portuguese party.

Steven Gerrard introduced his Philippe Coutinho in the 68th minutes and 9 minutes after his introduction, he was involved as Jacob Ramsey pulled one back.

Philippe Coutinho then equalized for Aston Villa in the 82nd minutes for his best contribution against the Reds in 8 meetings.

The former Bayern Munich forward didn’t manage a goal or assist in any of his seven Premier League appearances against Manchester United while playing for Liverpool (480 minutes), but netted Villa’s equaliser just 14 minutes into his debut for the club.

Philippe Coutinho did score a worldie against David De Gea in the Europa League not the Premier League.

And he confessed that he missed the Premier League.

“I missed these games, I missed the Premier League. I am very happy to be here. Yes.. I was a little bit nervous! I don’t speak English very well, I prefer to play football on the pitch than to be talking…”

Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona in January 2018.
