Off the Pitch

Cristiano Ronaldo trolls Manchester United with his new luxury watch

As Ronaldo leaves Manchester United on mutual agreement

Cristiano Ronaldo appears to have trolled his former club Manchester United with his new luxury watch hours before leaving the English club on mutual agreement.

Manchester United released a statement stating that they will be ending their relationship with the Portuguese superstar.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances and wishes him and his family well for the future.

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”

Cristiano Ronaldo also confirmed the termination hours later with a statement on his official Twitter page.

“Following a conversation with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early

“I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never change.

“However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.

“I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future.”

But before Manchester United’s official statement on his contract termination, he announced his partnership with leading watch brands.

“I’m excited to announce my partnership with Jacob and co, one of the leading watch brands in the world,” the former Real star wrote on Instagram.

“Today, we reveal our first watch collection that I co-designed with my dear friend Jacob Arabo.”

Cristiano Ronaldo displayed two designs on his IG post, one showing him celebrating a goal and the other having his iconic header against Manchester United in the last 16 of the 2012/13 Champions League.
