CSKA Moscow confirmed the signing of Super Eagles attacker Ahmed Musa from the 2014-15 Premier League champions Leicester City until the end of 2017/18 season today.
The former Venlo attacker joined The Foxes for a then club record fee of £16.6 million On 8 July 2016 but has struggled to reproduce the form that made the former English champions broke the bank to bring in from Russia.
Ahmed Musa scored just two goals in 22 league appearances for The Foxes, he didn’t play a single league game this season scored in the cup game which happens to be the only game he played for Leicester City in the 2017/18 season.
But the former Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer has revealed his happiness at his return to the red-blue family.
“I am very happy and proud to back.
“This is truly my home, champion team that fights for the top awards and occupies highest places.
“I am back to the red-blue family.”
Ahmed will be included in the Red-Blues’ squad list for the Russia national league and the UEFA Europa League knockout stage.
