Cunningham makes NBA debut for Detroit Pistons in win over Orlando Magic

Warriors, Bulls return to winnjng ways as Jazz lose for the first time

Detroit Pistons finally got a feel of their new player Cade Cunningham during their 110-103 win over Orlando Magic as they picked up their first win of the season after four straight losses to begin the NBA season.

Number one draft pick of the 2021 class, Cunningham missed the opening four games of the season with an ankle injury for the Detroit Pistons and had a quiet debut by his expected standards. The 20-year-old tallied two points, seven rebounds and two assists from his 19 minutes of action.

Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey was pleased with Cunningham after his display, stating that he plans to manage the youngster’s minutes while he tries to attain full fitness. Jerami Grant led the scoring for the Pistons with 22 points in their win.

Chicago Bulls ended Utah Jazz’s impressive start to the season by handing them a first defeat to improve their own record to 5-1. DeMar DeRozan led the scoring with 32 points as the Bulls picked up a 107-99 win over Utah Jazz. Zach LaVine also contributed 26 points to the win.

RJ Barrett inspired the New York Knicks to a 123-117 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Canadian star tallied 35 points with eight rebounds and six assists for the Knicks in their fifth win of the season.

Scottie Barnes led the scoring for the Toronto Raptors for a second successive game as he led them to a 97-94 win against the Indiana Pacers. The rookie contributed 21 points and 12 rebounds to help his side pick up the win.

Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 122-94 to pick up their fourth win of the season. Tobias Harris finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Sixers, and Joel Embiid contributed 19 points.

Dejounte Murray inspired the San Antonio Spurs to a 102-93 win over champions Milwaukee Bucks. Murray recorded 23 points with five rebounds and nine assists for the Spurs.

Jimmy Butler (27) and Tyler Herro (22) combined for 49 points as the Miami Heat overcame the Memphis Grizzlies 129-103 to pick up their fifth win of the season in the NBA.

Golden State Warriors bounced back from their defeat in style as they picked up a 103-82 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Steph Curry led the scoring with 20 points for the Warriors, with Jordan Poole, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins all contributing 14 points each.

Last year’s MVP Nikola Jokic inspired the Denver Nuggets to a 93-91 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Serbian scored 26 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists for the Nuggets in the game.

Phoenix Suns defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-92, with Devin Booker leading the scoring with 27 points. DeAndre Ayton and Chris Paul tallied 17 and 16 points, respectively, for the Suns in what was only their second win of the season.

Boston Celtics suffered their second double OT defeat of the season as they went down 115-112 against the Washington Wizards. Bradley Beal led the scoring for the Wizards with 36 points, a tally Celtics’ Jaylen Brown almost matched with his 34 points on the night.
