Curry hopes to stay with Warriors barring ´curveballs´

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is not going anywhere, even as free agency looms this upcoming offseason.

The two-time reigning MVP told the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday he feels at home with Golden State.

“It’s hard to see myself anywhere else,” he said, but added that “curveballs happen all the time” which could change his future.

Curry has been with the Warriors since he was selected seventh overall in the 2009 draft.

The 28-year-old is in his prime and has established himself as one of the premier shooters in history.

His “super team” Warriors now have MVP Kevin Durant for the next two seasons and are likely to lock down Curry for a max extension worth up to $165million, dwarfing his current four-year, $44m deal.

Golden State are 16-2 to start the season and seem destined for a Finals rematch with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who sit atop the Eastern Conference at 13-2.
