Curry inspires unbeaten Warriors, Tyler helps Heat pip Jazz

A 46-point game from Stephen Curry saw unbeaten NBA champions the Golden State Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-116 on Thursday.

Curry led the way, scoring 21 points in the final quarter and making 15 of 25 shots as the Warriors improved to 10-0 for the season – Golden State’s best start in franchise history.

The 2014-15 MVP has not scored less than 20 points in any of his 10 appearances so far, averaging 31.9.

Curry was supported by Draymond Green’s double-double of 23 points and 12 assists for the Warriors, who scored 75 points in the first half.

The youthful Timberwolves were led by Andrew Wiggins (19 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (17 points, 11 rebounds).

Chris Bosh and Tyler Johnson helped the Miami Heat down the Utah Jazz 92-91.

Bosh scored 25 points, while team-mate Johnson (17 points) made two important field goals with less than two minutes remaining in Miami as the Heat extended their winning streak to three games.

“Tyler is awesome,” Bosh said. “He can play. He’s had a great camp, he comes in and he works hard every day, works on his weaknesses, goes out there and lays it on the line and competes.

“He’s literally started from the bottom and worked his way up into playing a very huge role for this team.”

Derrick Favors (12 rebounds) and Gordon Hayward (11 rebounds) combined for 49 points but it was not enough for the Jazz.

The Phoenix Suns, meanwhile, overcame the Los Angeles Clippers 118-104.
