Curry scores 51, flirts with three-point record

Steph Curry became the first player in NBA history to make 11 or more three-pointers in a game on two occasions when he hit 11 in a 134-121 win over the Washington Wizards.

Hot from the start, Curry poured in 25 points on seven-of-eight shooting from beyond the arc in the first quarter.

He cooled off a bit from there, but still finished the game with 51 points.

It appeared Curry was going to break the record.

He had 11 three-pointers with more than three minutes remaining, but John Wall – who finished the game with 41 points and 10 assists – seemed determined to thwart his effort.

Donyell Marshall and Kobe Bryant still share the record with 12 three-pointers made in a game.

Draymond Green also had a special night, recording his franchise-record 10th triple-double of the season.

He scored 12 points with 12 assists and 10 rebounds.
