Curry Snubs LeBron – Picks Jordan, Shaq, and Hakeem as Dream Teammates

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has played with some of the best talent in the NBA, but when asked which legends he would have liked to play with, he left out one big name — LeBron James.
Curry, who has spent his entire career with the Warriors since being drafted in 2009, has been part of a strong team that included Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and later Kevin Durant. With this core, the Warriors won three NBA titles in just four years and became one of the league’s greatest teams.
Even though Curry has had many great teammates, he was recently asked which past NBA legends he would love to have played alongside. Speaking on the Dubs Talk podcast, Curry named Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, and Hakeem Olajuwon — but did not mention LeBron, with whom he’s had many high-profile battles in the NBA Finals.
“My top three? I’d probably say Jordan, Shaq, and maybe Hakeem Olajuwon,” Curry said. “Jordan, you just want to see it up close. A pick and roll with me and Hakeem or me and Shaq would be pretty much unstoppable.”
The decision to leave out LeBron James raised eyebrows, especially considering their long rivalry and mutual respect over the years. Many expected Curry to name the Lakers star, given their history on and off the court.
But Curry clearly had other legends in mind. With Jordan’s dominance, Shaq’s power, and Hakeem’s skill, it’s hard to argue with his picks.
Still, the LeBron omission will likely fuel more debate about the relationship between the two modern-day icons.
