#CyprusWomensCup: Nigeria fall to Belgium, set up 7-8th place clash with Thailand

Elena Dhont solitary goal condemned Nigeria’s Super Falcons to a 1-0 loss to Belgium and out of contention for a podium placement.

Nigeria were beaten 4-1 in their first game against Austria, won their second game 4-3 against Slovakia before losing 1-0 to Belgium in their last game played at the GSZ Stadium in Larnaca on Monday.

The Cyprus Women Cup has exposed the Super Falcons short comings that Thomas Dennerby and his girls must work upon ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Nigeria will on Wednesday face Thailand at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in Larnaca, Cyprus in the seventh-place final.
