#CyprusWomensCup: Nigeria hammer Thailand to finish 7th, South Africa placed 10th

First half goals from Asisat Oshoala and Onome Ebi and another in the sexond half through Anam Imo helped Super Falcons beat Thailand 3-0 in the 7-8th final to ensure Nigeria finished 7th at the 2019 Cyprus Womens Cup.

Super Falcons continued their improvement by beating their Asian counterparts at the Tassos Markos Stadium on Wednesday.

The rampant African champions were class above their opponents as they beat the Thais with ease.

Asisat Oshoala who had been trying her luck all day opened the scoring in the 23rd minute after Francesca Ordega put her through for the goal.

It became two just five minutes after the opener when Onome Ebi scored the second goal. It was Chinaza Uchendu who created the goal.

Anam Imo increased the tally to three when she scored from Asisat Oshoala’s fine pass in the 74th minute.

While the other african country, Bayana Bayana of South Africa finished in 10th position after losing 3-0 to Finland in their 9-10 final.
