Dakkada FC and Rovers FC play goalless draw in pre-season friendly

Dakkada FC and Rovers FC ended their pre-season friendly in a 0-0 draw at the Uyo Township Stadium on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

The match, held at Dakkada FC’s home ground, gave the team’s new head coach, Emmanuel Ntuk, his first major test as he continues recruiting players for the upcoming 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The two teams will not be competing in the same NNL group this season, but Rovers FC travelled from Calabar to Uyo to sharpen their preparations. Despite the absence of goals, both sides put on an impressive performance, which pleased the fans at the stadium.

At the end of the game, Referee Nsikakabasi Akpan’s final whistle confirmed the draw—just like their two league meetings last season, which also ended goalless.

Rovers FC will stay in Uyo for another friendly match against newly formed Godswill Akpabio United FC. The game will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Uyo Township Stadium, kicking off at 10:00 AM.
