De Zerbi Explains Why Tottenham Beat Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has explained why his team defeated Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham secured the victory at Stamford Bridge through an own goal by Mike Penders in the 77th minute and a late strike from Mathys Tel.

Speaking to the BBC after the match, De Zerbi said his players deserved the victory because of their hard work, preparation and team spirit.

“I think we deserved to win. The players worked very well and prepared very well for the game. This morning, yesterday, all days in the last week and the qualities of the players are very clear,” De Zerbi said.

The Italian manager also praised his players for their attitude and commitment throughout the game.

“I’m happy for the spirit of the players,” he added.

The victory gives Tottenham a boost as they prepare for their next Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at home.
