‘ Dessers has done well ‘ – Nigerian forward hailed by former Rangers skipper

Nigerian forward Cyriel Dessers has earned rare praise from a former Glasgow Rangers skipper for his contributions to the Scottish side this season.

Cyriel Dessers, despite contributing over 20 goals across competitions for Rangers since joining last summer, has failed to convince many at the club of his abilities.

Former Rangers captain Lee McCulloch, however, believes that Dessers has the potential to carve out his own success story at Ibrox.

While Dessers has managed to score 16 goals and provide seven assists this season, doubts are lingering about his overall impact and performance level.

McCulloch acknowledged the intense scrutiny that comes with wearing the famous blue jersey and admitted that it can be unforgiving for any player.

“Any player can write their own story,” McCulloch stated, emphasizing the opportunities available for Dessers to make his mark.

Despite the pressure, McCulloch expressed confidence in Dessers’ ability to handle the challenges and thrive in such a competitive environment.

“Dessers is scoring goals, he’s done well, especially so at times in Europe,” McCulloch noted, highlighting the striker’s success both domestically and in continental competitions.

With the season ongoing, McCulloch believes that Dessers still has the chance to solidify his place and leave a lasting legacy at Ibrox.
