The 24-year old England International shared videos of his time at Chelsea FC, including highlights from the UEFA Champions League win in the 2020/2021 season.

Those updates generated reactions from fans and Didier Drogba used the opportunity to share his thoughts on the transfer.

“Another prince leaving the club of his life. Thank you and all the very best to you, champs,” accompanied with a hashtag that read “#oneofourowncfc.” Drogba wrote.

Clearly a statement of displeasure over happenings around Chelsea FC since the takeover by Todd Boehly, Drogba has never never hidden his displeasure over changes from the days of Roman Abramovich.

“I knew this club with a certain class during the Abramovich era, but today I find it lacking. It’s very hard for me to see how they got rid of certain people,” Drogba blasted at the time. “They should go back to the principles and values they had, ” Drogba had said in April 2023 as the Blues floundered in successive matches.

45-year old Drogba first joined Chelsea FC in 2004 and enjoyed years of success with the Blues until his departure in 2012. The Ivorien did return briefly in 2014 to a club he regards as ‘home’.
