Dillian Whyte beats Oscar Rivas to claim the WBC ‘interim’ heavyweight title

Dillian Whyte is a step closer to his dreams after inflicting Oscar Rivas first professional loss on him.

The British fighter whose goal is to get a shot at the WBC Heavyweight Crown can now achieve his goal after his unanimous victory against Oscar Rivas at O2 Arena on Sunday.

Dillian Whyte survived a ninth-round knockdown to overcome Oscar Rivas and edge closer to a world-title shot after a gripping bout at O2 Arena.

Since his defeat to Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte has beaten all of his opponents including the likes Joseph Parker, Oscar Rivas, Dereck Chisora x2, Dave Allen, Lucas Browne and Robert Helenius.
