Doc Rivers moves into Top Six on NBA All-Time Wins List

Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers has climbed to sixth place on the NBA’s all time regular season coaching wins list, marking another major milestone in his long career.

The achievement places Rivers ahead of several legendary names, with his total now sitting at 1,176 regular season wins. Only five coaches in NBA history have recorded more victories.

Rivers now trails only Gregg Popovich, Don Nelson, Lenny Wilkens, Jerry Sloan, and Pat Riley on the all-time list. He moved past George Karl, who sits just behind him.

Since beginning his head coaching career in 1999, Doc Rivers has led the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and now the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rivers is best known for guiding the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA championship. Reaching the top six puts him firmly among the most successful coaches the league has seen.

As the season continues, Rivers will have the chance to climb even higher, adding to a coaching résumé that already spans more than two decades.
