D’Tigers move 10 places in new FIBA Rankings

Nigeria’s men basketball team has moved 10 places in the new Federation International de Basketball rankings.

Nigeria’s outstanding performance at the 2019 FIBA World Cup where they won three straight games after losses in their games against Argentina and Russia helped in the ranking.

Nigeria formerly 33rd in the world now 23rd in the world and as expected the highest ranked African team.

D’Tigers booked the only automatic Olympics ticket available for an African team at the the FIBA World Cup.

Nigeria finished 17th of the participating 32 teams.
