D’Tigress Arrive in Berlin Ahead of FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup

African champions Nigeria’s D’Tigress have arrived in Berlin, Germany, ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The team was welcomed by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Ambassador Sen Ita Enang, alongside officials of the Nigerian diplomatic mission in Berlin.
The arrival marks the final stage of D’Tigress’ preparations for the tournament, which will take place from September 4 to 13, 2026, in Berlin.
D’Tigress enter the competition as the reigning African champions after winning a record fifth consecutive FIBA Women’s AfroBasket title.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group B, where they will face France, South Korea and Hungary.
The African champions will be hoping to continue their strong run on the international stage and make a deep run at the World Cup.
