Durant, Warriors crush Thunder

Kevin Durant dominated his old team as the Golden State Warriors thrashed the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA.

Durant, facing the Thunder for the first time since his move, starred with 39 points in the 122-96 win on Thursday.

The loss was the Thunder’s first of the season as the Warriors improved to join them on a 4-1 record.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, meanwhile, stayed perfect with a win against the Boston Celtics.

 

DURANT DOMINATES

Durant was the star of the show for the Warriors with a game-high 39 points and seven rebounds.

He got support from Stephen Curry (21 points) and Klay Thompson (18).

Russell Westbrook had a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists for the Thunder as Victor Oladipo finished with a team-high 21 points.

 

CAVS CRUISE

LeBron James starred for the Cavs with 30 points and 12 assists in their 128-122 win over the Celtics.

Tristan Thompson joined him with a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Kevin Love (26 points) and Kyrie Irving (23) also had big games.

 

DELIGHTFUL DURANT

KINGS DOWNED

DeMarcus Cousins’ 33 points were not enough as the Sacramento Kings went down to the Orlando Magic 102-94.

The Milwaukee Bucks eased past the Indiana Pacers 125-107 and the Denver Nuggets held on to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-99.

 

WARRIORS, SPURS IN ACTION

The Warriors are back in action with a clash against the Los Angeles Lakers (2-3), while the San Antonio Spurs (4-1) are at the Utah Jazz (3-2).
