Eagles Remain 6th in Africa, Improve to 39 in latest FIFA Rankings
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are still not amongst the top five countries in Africa but have improved in the world ranking on FIFA’s latest rankings.
A 3-2 away victory over Sierra Leone in the AFCON qualifiers may have helped boost Nigeria’s points and improved the world rankings to 39 from 40.
But, it didn’t do much in increasing the Super Eagles’ position in Africa considering other African nations had good results.
Notably, Morocco, which are the highest-ranked African nation defeated Brazil in a friendly game.
Again, no space for Ghana in the top 10.
