Eastern Conference Final: Boston Celtics defeat Miami Heat to force Game 7

Boston Celtics completed a remarkable comeback to defeat the Miami Heat 104-103 and force Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Final.

Having been 3-0 down after the first three games of the series, the Boston Celtics looked down and out before rallying to win two games. They needed a third win in Miami to take the series to 3-3 and force Game 7.

The Celtics finished the first quarter and first half in the lead before extending their lead in the third quarter. A dramatic fourth quarter ensued that required a late buzzer beater from Derrick White to ensure that the Celtics won by one to secure a chance to make history.

Jayson Tatum led the scoring for the Celtics with 31 points and 12 rebounds, and Jaylen Brown scored 26 points and ten rebounds. Marcus Smart chipped in with 21 points, as well.

Jimmy Butler scored 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Heat, with Caleb Martin contributing 21 points and 15 rebounds in the game. The returning Gabe Vincent scored 15 points in the game for the Heat.

The sides will meet on Tuesday in Boston for the final time, for the right to face the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.
