Egypt 2019: Rohr drops Mikel, Chukwueze for Nigeria vs Guinea clash

Super Eagles haeadcoach Gernot Rohr has dropped his captain and Samuel Chukwueze ahead of Nigeria’s clash against Guinea.

According to various reports, Mikel Obi has been dropped with Alex Iwobi preferred in the role behind the striker while Ahmed Musa will fill Alex Iwobi’s vacant attacking midfield left position.

Surprisingly, Samuel Chukwueze who was one of the top performers for Eagles against Swallows was left out and will be replaced by Simon Moses.

In the absence of injured Shehu Abdullahi and Jamilu Collins, Chidozie Awaziem fill the right full back position.

Daniel Akpeyi – Ola Aina, Chidozie Awaziem, Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo – Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi – Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa

The match will kick off by 3.30pm Nigerian time at Alexandria Stadium in Egypt.

A win for Nigeria will guarantee a place in the next round of the competition.
