Eintracht Frankfurt signs Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi from Viktoria Plzen

Talented Nigerian player, Rafiu Durosinmi is reportedly set to follow the career path of legendary countryman, Jay Jay Okocha with a move to German club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has completed the signing of Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi from Czech Republic side Viktoria Plzen. SportsRation reports.

The deal, reportedly worth €9 million, was confirmed by Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, citing German publication BILD.

Durosinmi’s medical is already scheduled, and he is expected to arrive in Germany on December 28, 2023.

Durosinmi becomes Frankfurt’s second signing of the season, following the acquisition of Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United.

The 20-year-old Nigerian forward has had an impressive season with Viktoria Plzen, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 11 league appearances.

Before his move to Viktoria Plzen, Durosinmi played youth football in Nigeria. In 2022, he was promoted to the first team, scoring three goals, including one against Slavia Prague.

In January 2023, Durosinmi was loaned to Viktoria Plzen, where he continued to make a positive impact.
