Ekiti 1 Ondo 0: Ado Grammar School beat Aquinas to top pool B

Moses Sunday scored in the 12th minute to help Ado Grammar School beat Aquinas College at the ongoing South West Hockey Foundation U-16 Tournament on Friday.

Having secured a 2-1 win in their first game against Okemagba Junior High School Epe, a draw was all the Ekiti boys needed to top the pool but they got a deserving 1-0 victory.

After putting in a good shift in the first quarter to deny Ekiti from scoring, they were bridged in the 12th minute of the game when Moses Sunday scored the only goal of the match.

The victory meant Ado Grammar School finished the group at the top of the log with 6 points, while Okemagba Junior High School Epe finished 2nd with 3 points. And Aquinas who lost both of their games and failed to score a single goal finished last and out of a place on the podium.
