El-Kanemi, Wikki win away; Akwa continue unbeaten run as Rangers take spoils in 7-goal thriller

There were a total of nine wins in the games played across Federation on Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 12. Of the Nine wins two were away wins.

El-Kanemi Warriors and Wikki Tourists did the unthinkable by beating Gombe United and Rivers United away from home respectively.

El-Kanemi Warriors bounced back from their goalless draw against Gombe at home to beat their Northern rivals 1-0 away from home in the reverse fixture.

Isiaka Olawale 90th minute strike settled the tie.

Wikki Tourists chalked their 5th win of the season with a shocking 2-1 win against Rivers United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

Saidu Abdullahi and Hassan Musa scored two quick goals to put Tourists in front before Martins Ossy reduced the deficit to just one.

Cyril Olisema 64th minute strike from the spot helped Akwa United beat Heartland as the Promise Keepers continued their unbeaten run.

Akwa United have gone seven games without tasting defeat. They now have won 5 and drawn 2 of their last 7 NPFL games.

Godwin Aguda scored a brace as Rangers took the spoils Remo Stars in seven goal thriller.
