Eletu reveals how Flying Eagles can defeat Italy
AC Milan U-19 and Flying Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Victor Eletu has revealed how the team can defeat Italy U-20 on Wednesday May 24.
Eletu and his Nigeria U-20 teammates will come up against the Gli Azzurrini on Wednesday with both teams eyeing a FIFA U-20 World Cup round-of-16 spot with a win in the game.
Ahead of the game, Nigeria midfielder Victor Eletu who is currently on the books of Italian Serie A club AC Milan has admitted upstaging the Italy U-20 lads will be tough but possible if they stick together.
“It will be a tough game (vs Italy) as three, four of their players have already played for their first-team clubs,” the Flying Eagles number 10 said.
“The only way we can beat them is to play as a team.
“We will give our best to qualify for the next round ” Eletu promised.
The Nigeria Vs Italy match will take place at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza.
As it stands, both teams are tied on three points following wins over Dominican Republic and Brazil in group D matchday one games of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
