Enes Kanter defends Thunder after Kevin Durant criticizes OKC on Twitter

Recently, strange third-person tweets criticizing the Oklahoma City Thunder and coach Billy Donovan appeared on Kevin Durant’s account. No one was sure who posted them until Tuesday when Durant admitted that he was the one wrote the tweets.

“I played a little too much, and that (expletive) really hurt me,” Durant, who first addressed the situation on a TechCrunch panel about athletes and branding, told USA TODAY Sports afterward. “To know that I affected Billy Donovan and the Thunder – like I love those people and I don’t never (want to hurt them). That was just me being a total (expletive) idiot. I own up to it. I want to move on from it.”

As Durant’s comments and apologies were coming out, the Thunder’s Enes Kanter defended his team in the following message:

Kanter calls it “Okla-Home” and wrote, “We win-We Lose but the most important thing we stick together because we are one.”
