Enyeama backs Uzoho to shine at AFCON

Legendary Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has backed Francis Uzoho to shine at the 34th Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.

Nigeria heads to the Cup of Nations with question marks lingering over the goalkeeping department with Francis Uzoho losing the trust of fans due to errors in goal for the Super Eagles.

In the build-up to the AFCON, Nigerian fans have clamoured for Vincent Enyeama who was in goal as Nigeria won a third continental title in South Africa back in 2013 to be drafted into the coaching crew to help develop the goalkeepers.

Those calls have not seen the light of day and have refused to go away despite the commencement of the teams pre-tournament camp in Abu Dhabi.

In reply to a comment on the video he posted on his instagram page where he was training his son, Enyeama has backed the Omonia Nicosia shot-stopper to shine at the AFCON.

The comment by @Imadx2 read “Help us train Uzoho make him sabi catch ball’  to draw this reply from @vincentenyeama001 ” He will be the best Keeper in AFCON. “
