Enyimba FC suffer CAF Champions League preliminary round elimination

Nigerian Champions Enyimba International FC have suffered preliminary round elimination from the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.

This follows a 0-1 aggregate loss to Libyan club Al Ahli Benghazi.

Enyimba FC fell 4-3 in the first leg in Libya on Sunday August 20 before a 0-0 draw in the second leg clash on Sunday August 26 in Aba, confirmed their elimination.

Coach Finidi George tutored Enyimba FC laboured in vain under the rain for a goal which would have secured victory for the Peoples Elephants but Al Ahli Benghazi held on to progress.
