Enyimba v Nasarawa United Preview

Enyimba FC host Nasarawa Unitedd at their adopted UJ. Esuene Stadium in Calabar in Match Day 5 on the NPFL.

Enyimba were able to pick a point against their neighbours Abia Warriors in the Abia Derby on Wednesday.

Coach Ogunbote was pleased with the point, though said they could have won, but in football atimes, you draw, win and lose.
“I was pleased with my players, they showed resilience in the game and could have won, but you win some, lose some and draw some in a match” Said Ogunbote.

“We are now focused on how to win against Nasarawa utd on Sunday so as to continue to improve and impress our fans” Ogunbote added.

For Nasarawa United, they beat Remo stars 3-1 in midweek to get their first win for this season and coach Kabiru Dogo was pleased with the outcome.
“It was necessary for us to get a win, so as to raise our confidence, that was our first win this season. My players did so well and we deserved it and they played according to the game plan” Said Coach Dogo.

Reacting after the game also, Captain Emmanuel Makama said: “it was a really tough game considering the fact that Nasarawa United were yet to win a game in the season.

“With Remo winning their last game, it added more pressure for us to deliver the goods in front of our loyal fans, but thank God for the maximum points.” said Makama

This fixture last season was decided with both sides cancelling each other out. Enyimba winning 1 nil at home, and Nasarawa United winning 2-1 in reverse fixture.

Enyimba winning this game on Sunday would take them to 10 points and could move them from 5th to upper position depending on results at other centres.

Nasarawa United can build from the confident win over Remo stars in mid week against Enyimba.
