Enyimba welcome fit-again Ezenwa ahead of Energie FC CAF tie
Enyimba Football Club have welcomed goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa back into the fold.
The Nigeria international had been away due to his involvement with the senior national team during the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in Morocco in January and February.
His participation at the tournament was cut short due to injury, but he has now made a full recovery under the watchful eye of the Super Eagles medical crew, and returns to the Enyimba team in fine fettle.
He was warmly received by the officials as well as the rest of the team, as preparations for the CAF Confederation Cup meeting with Beninoise side Energie FC intensify.
The tie will, in all likelihood, come too soon for the experienced shot-stopper, but Ezenwa is confident he will be challenging for a place in the first team in no time.
Ezenwa expressed his gratitude in particular to club Chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu, who he revealed was in constant communication with him throughout the period of his recuperation.
