Enyimba’s Oladapo happy with MFM’s victory, sets eyes on winning the league

Enyimba not carried away with win over MFM, says Oladapo

Enyimba international of Aba midfielder Austine Oladapo is excited his team begin the 2018/2019 Nigeria professional football league season with a victory and says they are ready to challenge for the title this season.

Enyimba secured a hard fought 2-0 home victory over MFM football club of Lagos at Aba international stadium on Sunday.

The People’s Elephant opened the scoring through Nelson Ogbonnaya in the 5th minutes after he headed home a long throw from Nasiru Sanni.
Abdulrahman Bashir added the second in the second half to condemn Fidelis Ilechukwu side to their first loss of the season.

However Oladapo in a exclusive interview with brila.net’s Seyi Alao after the game said the boys are happy to start the season with a win.

“It was a great win for us as a team, First match is more important we are very happy to scale through mfm today.”

“At some point it was became so difficult because MFM are a good side and we have to up our game to secure all three points.”

The former Gombe United midfielder added that the last season CAF Confederations Cup semi-finalists want to win the title again after a long time.

“Our target is to be champion of Nigeria professional football league champions at the end of the season and nothing more.”
