EPL: Five Star Manchester City cruise , Arsenal close in on UCL return, Week 36 roundup.

Raheem Sterling began and completed Manchester City’s 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle United at the Etihad on Sunday evening. The Victory moved City three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the EPL standings.

Sterling headed home the opening goal to hand Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City the lead before further strikes by Aymeric Laporte , Rodri , Foden ensured a Seamless City cruise before Sterling hit his brace for a 5nil win.

An expected response by a team hurting from Wednesdays Champions League Semi Final loss at Real Madrid. City now have 86 points three more than Liverpool (83) with three matches to the end of the season.

On Saturday , Brentford were 3-0 winners over Southampton , Burnley suffered a blow In thier fight against the drop with a 1-3 loss to Aston Villa.

Coady scored in the last minute of stoppage time as Chelsea were held to a 2-2 at Stamford Bridge by Wolverhampton. Crystal Palace confirmed Watford’s relegation with a 1-0 win at Selhurst park.

Brighton piled more misery on Manchester United with a 4-0 thrashing at the Amex before Liverpool shoot themselves in the foot as they dropped two points in a 1-1 draw vs Tottenham Hotspur.
