EPL Matchday 16 recap: Wins for City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal

Gallagher continues to carry Palace

The Premier League round 16 saw wins for all the top teams Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Leicester City and Arsenal.

City needed Raheem Sterling’s penalty to overcome stubborn Wolvehampton Wanders at Etihad Stadium in the early kikc off.

Chelsea needed two penalties scored Jorginho to overcome all attacking Leeds United 3-2 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Mo Salah converted from the spot kick to hand Liverpool a 1-0 win against Aston Villa to spoil Steven Gererd’s Anfield home coming.

Another penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo handed Manchester United a scrappy 1-0 win against Norwich City.

Arsenal were too good for Southampton Gabreiel, Martin Oedegaard and Alexandre Lacazette scored the goals as Arteta’s men trashed the Saints.

Wilfred Ndidi was on the pitch the whole time as Leicester City trashed sorry Newcastle 4-0. Ypuri Tielemans scored two goals, Patson Daka scored and assisted another.

Chelsea loanee Connor Galagher scored a brace to hand Patrick Viera’s Palace a comfy 3-1 win Everton.

On Friday, Nigeria’s Emmanuel Dennis scored his 7th league goal of the season not enough as Watford suffered a 2-1 loss at Brentford.

The game between Tottenham and Brighton was postponed.

As it stands the top three teams keep fighting for the title with City top of the league with 38, 2nd place Liverpool have 37 and 3rd place Chelsea with 36.

4th placed West Ham have 28,Manchester United have 27, and Arsenal have 26 points.
