Erik ten Hag eyes first silverware as Man Utd book League Cup final against Newcastle

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is not getting carried away by leading his side to their first League Cup final since 2017.

United beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday for a (5-0) aggregate win to set up a final showdown against Newcastle at Wembley stadium come February 26th.

Antony Martial and Fred scored the goals as to help Manchester United complete a 5-0 aggregate win against a sorry Nottingham Forest.

After watching his side picked up their 12th win at Old Trafford for the first time since Fergie was in charge, and rewarded a trip to Wembley. Erik ten Hag says work is not done yet.

“It’s good to reach the final but it is not about reaching the final, it is about winning it.

“Of course we are looking forward to it. We get to go to Wembley and it’s Newcastle United who are a great team but it is far away for us.”

Manchester United are the only club in England who are still competing for four trophies; the Premier League title, Europa League, League, and the FA Cup.

Erik ten Hag who joined Manchester United a few months ago could win his first title for Red Devil, he could go on and do a double, or treble.

How many can they win out of the four trophies?
