Erik ten Hag happy after Man Utd win over Hatters

Manchester United FC manager, Erik ten Hag says he is happy for the ‘good day’ 1-0 win over the Hatters in the Premier League.

Victor Lindelof scored the winning goal for Manchester United against Luton Town who are nicknamed Hatters on Saturday November 11.

That victory will offer Erik ten Hag some relief after watching his side bow 4-3 to FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League to further hurt their chances of progressing from the group stage.

In his post match reaction, the former Ajax manager expressed satisfaction with the result: “It is a good day. We needed the win and we got it but we could make life more easy by scoring early on and getting a second,” he said, per the BBC.

“We created the chances but we didn’t score apart from one. I am happy with that and I am happy with the clean sheet. We had many chances before half time and you should net one of them.

“After half time, get the second and then the game is gone. Now you keep them alive and they can get an equaliser from balls dropping in the wrong place.”

It was another unconvincing performance for Erik ten Hag’s side against newly promoted Luton, but a Victor Lindelof strike in the second-half ensured they took the maximum three points regardless.
