Erik Ten Hag replacement announced

Alfred Schreuder is Erik ten Hag successor at the Johan Cruyff Arena . The Club Brugge manager has signed for the Dutch Eredivise Champions Ajax until 2024.

Schreuder was a former assistant at Ajax  (2018-19) and recently with Barcelona under Ronald Koeman. The new Ajax manager starred for various Dutch clubs including Feyenoord, NAC Breda, and Vitesse as a player.

Yesterday’s Belgium Championship Playoffs game between Club Brugge and Royal Gerloloise came too early for Schreuder to confirm his links with Ajax as he responded to questions at the Pre match press conference.

” I don’t have an answer to this (Ajax links), I am fully involved with Club Brugge. I can’t deal with those rumors. We don’t know what will happen in the future. That Ajax is champion? I’ve heard it. Nice for them,” Schreuder had said.

Following the completion of all details today , his appointment as the Dutch giants’ new chief is official. He replaces Erik Ten Hag who will leave Ajax to take charge at Manchester United.

The Dutchman was announced as United’s new boss last month and will officially start work at Old Trafford ahead of next season.

Ten Hag guided Ajax to the Eredivisie title on Wednesday evening, overseeing a 4-0 win over SC Heerenveen. It means that they have wrapped up the title with a game to spare.
