Erling Haaland continues to rewrite Premier League history, and his latest achievement may be his most impressive yet. In Manchester City’s 5–4 victory over Fulham, the Norwegian superstar scored his 100th Premier League goal, becoming the fastest player ever to reach the milestone.
The match itself was absolute chaos. City raced to a 5–1 lead thanks to goals from Haaland, Phil Foden (twice), Tijjani Reijnders, and an own goal, only for Fulham’s Smith Rowe, Iwobi, and Chukwueze to mount a furious late comeback and the final minutes felt like they could swing either way. But amid the intensity and noise, Haaland’s record-breaking goal stood out as the highlight of the night.
After the match, Halaand spoke with the same calm confidence he plays with. He said,
“I’m proud and happy to get to 100 PL goals. But when you’re a striker for City, you should be delivering great numbers. And that’s my job.”
He even added that people should criticise him when he doesn’t score because that’s what fans do, and at the end of the day, he has to deliver.
That mentality is a big part of what makes him so dangerous. For most players, hitting 100 Premier League goals would be a peak. For Haaland, it genuinely feels like he is just getting started.
With the rate he is scoring at, the record books are wide open for him, and this milestone might be only one of many we’ll see him break. We say Congratulations, Haaland.
