Erling Haaland scores four as Man City cage Wolves

Erling Haaland put on a remarkable performance as Manchester City secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.

From the outset, Manchester City displayed their determination to dominate the game, especially following Arsenal’s earlier win over Bournemouth. They wasted no time in asserting their dominance, earning a penalty when Rayan Aït-Nouri fouled Josko Gvardiol. Haaland coolly converted the penalty to give City an early lead.

After the break, Wolves showed signs of a comeback as Hwang Hee-chan found the back of the net from a cross by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde. However, City responded swiftly, with Haaland scoring his fourth goal of the game to maintain their dominance.

Julián Álvarez, who replaced Haaland, further extended City’s lead with a goal of his own, setting a new club record of 43 unbeaten home games across all competitions for Manchester City.
