Eseosa Sule signs professional contract with Semi Ajayi`s West Brom
Nigeria eligible youngster Eseosa Sule has signed a professional contract with English Championship side West Brom.
The club has Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi on its payroll. In the just concluded season, Ajayi made 25 appearances and scored 2-goals to help West Bromwich Albion finish 9th in the English Championship, three points short of the promotion playoff spots.
Ahead of a busy summer, the club in a statement on their official website, that young Eseosa Sule has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year old joined the Hawthorns from Celtic where he spent 10-years having joined the Scottish side aged 6.
Sule joined West Brom in the January transfer window and has impressed heads at Parkhead enough to earn a professional contract.
Manager Carlos Corberan will now be able to call-upon the youngster for the senior team when the 2023/2024 season gets underway.
Eseosa Sule has played eight matches for West Brom U-18s in the recently concluded U-18 Premier League. His West Brom debut was in a sour matchday for Leigh Downing’s side as they fell 4-1 loss to Arsenal in March 2023.
His performances with the U-18 earned him two games with the U-21 and even registered his presence with a ferocious vs Leeds United.
Sule is tied to the Hawthorns until 2025.
