Espanyol’s Pau Lopez: ‘Anyone but Barcelona’

Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has insisted that he does not mind whether Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid win La Liga this season, but does not want Barcelona to retain the title.

Espanyol will attempt to put a dent in Barcelona’s title hopes when the Catalan rivals meet at Camp Nou on Sunday afternoon.

Defeat for Barcelona and victories for Real Madrid and Atletico would leave Luis Enrique‘s side in third entering the final weekend and Lopez has not hidden his loyalties.

“I don’t know who will win La Liga, but I want it to be a Madrid team. It doesn’t matter to me which one,” Lopez told Mundo Deportivo.

Lopez, 21, has been with Espanyol since 2007 and made his La Liga debut in February 2015.
