The Nigeria Professional Football League winner danced his way into the visitors box before he was kicked and the referee awarded a penalty for his side.

Khalid Al Hajri stepped up and converted the spot kick to give Al Nasr the lead. Hamad Al Habsi made it two for the hosts but were pegged back in the second half before Sultan Saeed late goal sealed the important win and another three points.

Al Nasr have now won their last three games to move to third in the Omani Professional League table after 13 round of games.

After the game, the former CHAN Eagle attacker told Sportsration.com from his base in Oman that he is happy with what has side has been able to achieve thus far.

“It has been a long year for us, but thank God for where we are now.

“We are now back in the top 3 and we will keep pushing, because in football impossible is nothing.”

The 2018-19 season has not gone as planned domestically for Etor Daniel and his teammates, as they have struggled to replicate the form that won them the Sultan Cup last year.

But Etor Daniel is adamant things can still end well for his side despite the fact that they’ve been knocked out of the Sultan Cup in the first round and are 13 points behind Dhofar who are toping the league at the moment.

“A lot has happened this season. We didnt start like we expected, we were knocked out of the cup we won with ease last time out.

“But we are still here. You know we have won all of our last three matches. We are in the top three and still fighting for the Asian Cup.

“Right now my focus is on our AFC match against Malaysia’s Hilal Al-Quds. I believe we can win the champions.”

The AFC clashes will hold on 5th, 12th of February 2019, with the forst leg scheduled for Malaysia and the return in Oman.

Etor Daniel now has 4 goals and 9 assists in 13 league games this season for Al Nasr FC.
